The Long Play

Douglas and Geneva met in the halls behind of the airwaves of WKIX AM in Raleigh, not long before they eloped in November of 1967. Their family asked me to create a piece in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary, so I made a sterling silver HiFi-inspired sculpture with a 24K gold record, and a drawer to contain notes from their children and grandchildren.
